REDEEMER WOMEN OF THE ELCA

Quilting Group meets on Thursdays from September to June. Under the leadership of Pat Wilcox, they prepare quilts for Lutheran World Relief. These people (men and women) need sheets, tablecloths, drapes, and other pieces of fabric which can be used for blocks and backing. Help is always needed cutting blocks and sewing blocks together (all of which can be done at home.) On Thursdays they knot the tops and backs together and pin the edges. Then some of the women take the quilts home to sew around the edges on their sewing machines.  When the quilts are returned, they are packed and labeled waiting for the gathering of blankets for Lutheran World Relief sometime in February. Redeemer is a pick-up point for the tractor trailer for Mid-Gulf Conference and Caloosa Conference (from Bradenton to Naples.)
